I was earlier zooming with my best friend in Fargo, ND and she told me she and her husband had seen a show about Star Trek on the History channel last week. I recall reading this would someday happen but I never learned when it would happen but now later tonight I will watch The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek on the History channel - yay!

49 years ago today my world changed forever when "Star Trek" premiered that night. Well it's been a week now and I'm recovering from my loss. I knew Leonard Nimoy had been ill and taken to the hospital so it really wasn't a complete shock. That evening I went again to see Baba Brinkman, the atheist rapper, perform in his Rap Guide to Religion and he mentioned Nimoy's passing in the show. Forty-seven years ago today "Star Trek" premiered and I fell in love with Mr Spock. Parted from me and never parted; never and always touching and touched. It's been a very interesting (if one-sided) love affair *grin*. Will we make it to 50?

Today a friend gave me an autographed picture of Nichelle Nichols - he didn't know it but it was my half-year birthday. Now I need to get a little display easel for it.
